Day 4 (Thursday,

Filipinas wearing hijab
Yesterday,
when we were on our way to our dormitory we saw the Masjid Raya Sumatera Barat.
We were in awe just by seeing the mosque. I am so eager to visit the mosque
that’s why I woke up early to cook breakfast and prepare myself for another
escapade. Our buddies advised us to wear long sleeves partnered with long pants
and a hijab. When I first made a step in the mosque, I couldn’t take my eyes
off the place. I am in awe with the architectural design of the mosque. The
designs were intricately detailed and made to perfection. We stayed outside the
mosque because there were still people praying inside. After a couple of
minutes, we went inside and silently looked for a nice place to sit. There were
some Muslims who were in the middle of their prayer. One of our buddies
enlightened us with the customs and religious beliefs of Muslims. We have
learned a lot of things from her. When we were in the middle of our
conversation, we saw people carrying a deceased body inside the mosque.
According to our buddies, the deceased should be given a tribute prayer to
clear his/ her sins. After that, Muslims continued with their prayer. At
exactly 12:30 noon, we looked for place to eat because most of us were already
starving. Finally, we went home because
we were all tired and we need to rest for the next day.
